Patrick Doty started canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico Park when he was only ten years old. He continues his travels in the BWCA as a wilderness guide for YMCA camp Menogyn, located on West Bearskin Lake.
A student at the University of Wisconsin, Stout majoring in Technology Education, Patrick is also active as a pole vaulter on the track team. Patrick's accomplishments include earning the rank of Eagle Scout and building a wood strip and soon a wood canvas canoe.
