Slide 7 Here's an
exaggerated view of a Canadian topographic map.
There sure seem to be a lot of things pointing to
"north", but none of them seem to point
in the same direction! Our curved meridians (the left and right border of the map) both point to geographic north. There's a "GRID NORTH" shown and a "MAGNETIC NORTH." So, what it all this trying to tell us, and how will it help us to plot our course for our canoe trip? |
